Summary of what the All Party Group has achieved since it was founded in 2006

  1. The Pan-European Campaign has succeeded in helping establish groups similar to the All Part Parliamentary Group in 9 other European countries. 
  2. Members of the Group have conducted over 50 visits both in Europe and within the UK to learn about the level of the problem in the UK and Europe, progress in fighting Trafficking, potential cures and best practice. These visits included meeting victims, Police, Parliamentarians and NGO's.
  3. Members of the Group have attended or spoken at 6 UK or European conferences.
  4. Members of the Group have initiated 7 evidence sessions
  5. Members of the Group have made a series of speeches, initiated 13 Parliamentary Debates and tabled approximately 300 Oral and Written Parliamentary Questions

9 July 2006 - Launch of Parliamentary Group - Chief Constable Grahame Maxwell, lead in Operation Pentameter I - a national Police operation tackling trafficking.
