The group has no agreed position towards the issue of prostitution, although individual officers have their own views on this complex matter. 

Human Trafficking is defined by three essential elements -

• the movement of a person;
• with deception or coercion;
• into a situation of forced labour, servitude or slavery-like practice.

By definition and by its mandate the APPG is principally concerned with activities that fall under this definition.
